Amy Elizabeth (Burns) Moore
NORMAL - Amy Elizabeth (Burns) Moore, 48, of Normal, IL died tragically on May 29, 2024.
A devoted mother, Amy is survived by her three precious sons: Anderson (12) Beckett (11) and Crew (7); also remaining are her parents, Tom and Libby Burns; brothers: Tom, Jr. (Bharti) and Scott (Cathryn); and her beloved nephews: Connor, Jack, and Carter. In addition, surviving close relatives include aunts: Marti Johnson and Kathy Granberg; uncle, Brian Johnson; as well as cousins: Jason and Chris Granberg.
Tom and Libby brought Amy home to a house filled with love, faith, sports, learning, and fun. As she grew, Amy experienced a close knit family, excellence in education and sports, and cherished friendships. These formed the foundation for her to become an exemplary mother, daughter, teacher, sister, aunt, and friend. Her bright smile welcomed her boys home and her students into her Grove Elementary classroom every day. We all adored the warmth of Amy's smile, and will hold with us forever her spirit of joy.
Visitation is Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Eastview Church, 1500 N. Airport Road, Normal. The funeral is Saturday, June 8, 2024 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow, both at Eastview. We encourage families to bring their children, just as Amy would have wanted.
We have established a gofundme – "Support the Moore Boys". Alternatively, checks can be received at any Heartland Bank location made out to Moore Boys Memorial Foundation. Charitable contributions in Amy's honor may be given to Eastview Church Youth Ministry, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and Unit 5 Educational Foundation.

Amy was my 2nd grade teacher 18 years ago when she went by Ms. Burns. For me and many other students at Grove, she was one of those teachers that you remember for a lifetime. I felt so lucky to have her as a teacher that year. She was smart, beautiful, funny, patient, and incredibly kind. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I hope the love and memories shared by family, friends, and the community comfort your family and her sons throughout this difficult time.

Tom and Libby, Erica and I send out deepest heartfelt condolences to you and the entire family. We share fond memories from when the kids were all in grade school and we lived across the street. Erica remembers Amy's epic birthday parties and playing together in the yard. I remember that energetic, active and fun young girl and was proud and impressed to learn that she grew up to teach young children. I am so very sorry for your loss. Laura

Amy was such a joyous and wonderful person. I am so glad to have called her my friend. I feel the lord took an angel too soon as we still needed her with us. Thoughts and prayers to your family and those sweet boys.

Libby and family, we did not know Amy, but we are Carlock parents that appreciated the Burns family. Our loss was different but we do know how hard it is to lose a daughter suddenly. Our hearts hurt for you. May your faith help you through this journey. We pray for your family.

Words cannot fully express my condolences. I remember playing tennis together throughout our youth. Amy was kind hearted, funny and always had a smile on her face both off and on the court. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
