Barbara Case Obituary

Barbara Case

Barbara Case, 90, passed peacefully on 4-4-2025, at Arroyo Gardens Casa Bonita Dos Memory Care.

Barb was born in Manchester, IA to Ralph and Bernice Graham. She married W. L. (Bill) Case in 1953, and proceeded to share a life full of love, travel adventures and many, many dear friends. They spent the majority of their years together in Bloomington, IL; where Bill worked for State Farm Insurance and they were long time members of the First Presbyterian Church in Normal. In 2000, they relocated to Arizona to enjoy the sun and became members of the Valley Presbyterian Church in Green Valley.

Barb was very loving and gracious with others, sharing a smile and her wittiness even in her later years while dealing with MS and dementia. She was a wonderful note writer - always conveying love and inspiration with family and friends. Some of her favorite things in life were MUSIC, animals, baking treats for loved ones and getting to know people - always exclaiming she could "talk to a fence post"!

Immense gratitude is extended to the staff of Arroyo Gardens Casa Bonita Dos and Catalina Hospice for their excellent loving and compassionate care of Barb.

Bill, her loving husband of nearly 72 years, preceded her passing. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Jerry Walker - of Green Valley; Granddaughter and great granddaughter, Sara Walker and Lily Gillespie of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandson, Geoff Walker (Tricia) and great grandchildren Isaac, Zach, and Natalie in Bloomington, IL; Brother and sister-in-law, John and Shirley Graham; Nephew John (Jada) Graham; Niece Kathy (Tim) Casperson; Niece Karen (Bruce) McCommis all of Iowa; and Niece Susan (Karl) Young of Colorado; in addition to many great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Animal League of Green Valley or to the Green Valley Presbyterian Church Music Program.
