Tuesday morning golf league will definitely miss Betty! She was such an inspiration to me. I told her once how my mom was the same age and has trouble getting around. Betty said, "you have to start young deciding to be active." I know I will miss seeing that Mustang convertible in her special parking space at Ironwood. My condolences to her family. You have a very special angel watching over you!

My deepest condolences to the family. I worked for Betty for 20 + years. She was a great teacher and wonderful to work for. She welcomed me and my family into her family. She always remember my kids at Christmas by bring giant candy canes full of M & M candies. They , to this day ask where their candy canes are. That tradition started in 1971. My daughter, who was 10 at the time, caught Kelly's wedding bouquet, and Betty kept a picture of that at the office. After we started moving to different states across the county, Don and Betty always came to visit. We have so many memories of wonderful times with both of them. They will always be in my heart, with much love. The Shelton family

Betty was a neat gal--very private and married to a Medical Technologist. I too was a Med Tech. Graduated from Bradley in 1955 and St. Francis School of Medical Technology. The family should be very proud of both of their grandparents. Bless each of you. Mary L. Houska ASCP

Betty was my "pew mate" at Normal First Methodist. We usually parked next to each other and walked in together -- laughing. She always made me smile, and I loved when she called me "Dear." I went to Ironwood and took pictures of Betty to use as a model for a couple of pictures in my book entitled "18 Rules for 18 Holes!" I took her sweet treats, even during this time we could not be in church. We frequently texted to say we missed being in church together. I loved Betty very much and will miss giving her hugs! Remembering my church buddy with LOVE! Bekah
