BLOOMINGTON - Carol Ellen Hobson, 89, of Bloomington, passed away on December 18, 2023, peacefully at home.
Carol was born on December 28, 1933, to Adolph Mielenz and Ruth Clesson. She married Bill Hobson on February 9, 1952.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hobson; her son, Larry Hobson; and her siblings: Dorothy Johnson, Betty Ogg, and Marietta McGuire. Surviving are her brother, James Mielenz, of Bloomington; her children: Sue (Dan) Greiner of Hudson, and Jeff Hobson of Bloomington; grandchildren: Kristi Curry and Trisha (Corey) Pearl of Bloomington, and Joe (Shannon) Hobson, of Oregon, WI; great-grandchildren: Samantha (Tevin) Walden, Aynslee Curry, Nathan Leininger, Peyton Curry, Trey Curry, Mia Leininger, all of Bloomington, and Alex and Trevor Hobson, both of Wisconsin; and one great-great grandson, Kellan Walden, of Bloomington.
Carol found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially the Sunday morning tradition of sharing coffee with loved ones or bird watching from the comfort of her home. Above all, Carol was a fiercely devoted family woman. Her love knew no bounds, and she showered her family with affection, guidance, and unwavering support. Her legacy lives on through the generations she leaves behind, as they carry forward the values and traditions she held dear.
