EUREKA - Charles D. "Chuck" Engstrom, 87, of Eureka passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 3:40 a.m. at the Loft Nursing Home in Eureka.
Chuck was born on April 7, 1937, in Duluth, MN, a son of Duward and Ruby Anderson Engstrom. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Woodruff High School in 1955 and then from Bradley University in 1959.
He was a radio broadcaster for many years and interviewed several governors.
The friends and acquaintances of Chuck thank the caregivers at the Loft and Transitions Hospice for the diligent attention to his needs. He was a member of Roanoke Mennonite Church where he created weekly crossword puzzles on the Sermon and other Scriptures.
Gravesides services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery. Pastors Bryan and Jolene Miller will officiate. Cremation will be accorded.
Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling arrangements for his friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Roanoke Mennonite Church.

Chuck will be missed at Roanoke Mennonite Church. Chuck was one of the most interesting and kindest people around.He no longer has any health problems and is in his eternal Heavenly home where he will be waiting for us all.You will be missed.Donna Yoder
