Daniel Miller Obituary
January 1, 2026
Daniel "Dan" W. Miller, 66, of Danvers, passed away on January 1, 2026, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Dan's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm at the IBEW 197, 2407 Beich Road A, Bloomington, Illinois 61705. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Calvary Cemetery in Piper City, Ill.
The family suggests memorials to be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dan was born in Fairbury, Illinois, on January 22, 1959, to Walter H. and Norma (Vaughn) Miller.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers: Kimberly Geshiwlm, Carlock; Brenda Riddle, Mackinaw; Rick (Carolyn) Miller, Bloomington; Keli Miller, Peoria; Beki (Bill) Frank, Bloomington; and Jeff (Gina) Miller, Danvers. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents; his sister: Pamela Miller; and brothers-in-law: Doug Geshiwlm and Bret Riddle.
Dan was a proud IBEW 197 Bloomington member and served on the apprenticeship committee for 10 plus years. He worked as an electrician for 45 years, in which 25 plus years he was owner/operator of Twin City Electric. He retired on June 1, 2024.
Dan was a hard worker but also enjoyed playing golf, he loved fishing but most of all he loved his family. Dan will be deeply missed by his family and friends who knew and loved him.

I've known Dan for a long time and worked for him at Twin City Electric until I retired. He was always good to me, and he was a great guy. He will be missed.

When Mike Mulcahey and I decided to retire, Dan took over Twin City Electric and did a great job. Excellent electrician and great businessman. All around good person .
