September 9, 1937 - March 3, 2026
Ollie King Mandrell 88 of Clinton, Ill., passed away 3:06 a.m. March 3, 2026 at his family residence, Clinton, Ill.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026 at the Lane Christian Church, Lane, Ill., with Brock Eckert and Jim Kilson officiating. Burial will follow at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, Ill. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m., Friday at the church. The Family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Ill., with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to Lane Christian Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or OSF Hospice.
Ollie was born September 9, 1937 in DeWitt County, Ill., the son of Lloyd and Louisa (Matheny) Mandrell. He married M. Kay Shearer February 14, 1958 in Clinton, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, M. Kay Mandrell, Clinton, Ill.; son, Kevin (Kim) Mandrell, Clinton, Ill.; three grandchildren, Adrian Mandrell, Leroy, Ill., Joseph Mandrell, Chicago, Ill., Anna Mandrell, Wapella; two great-grandchildren, Ollie James Mandrell and August Ransom Mandrell; and twin Brother, Charlie Mandrell, Clinton, Ill.
Ollie was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James Mandrell, Donald Mandrell, Joe Mandrell; and three sisters, Sue Ann Robinson, Linda Mandrell, Doris "Poge" Alwood.
Ollie was a member of the Lane Christian Church, Lane, Ill. He retired from Wallace Computer Services after 18 years of service. He enjoyed collecting bottles, Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and Clinton Illinois memorabilia.

I like to say that Ollie was one of the nicest people that I knew I used to deliver papers to his mom and dad. I´ve drank many a cup of coffee at McDonald´s with him and he was always open and had something to say good about everybody I know that his son will miss him as he misses his son. Best wishes to Kay and I´ll always have a smile when I think about it.
