Darlene Branoff Obituary
November 8, 1964 - November 15, 2024
BLOOMINGTON - Darlene Rita Branoff, 60, passed away November 15, 2024, at her home after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
Her visitation will be held 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2024
Her memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington Vineyard Church on Friday, November 22, 2024.
Darlene was born November 8, 1964, in Frederick, MD. Her family moved to Cary, NC in the mid-1970s. She graduated from Cary High School in 1982 and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University in 1986. Before moving to Bloomington in 2014, Darlene worked as a lean six sigma black belt for Cardinal Health in Morrisville, NC.
Darlene loved to cook. When friends or family came over for a meal, she always made extra food, making sure everyone went home with some leftovers. Although she and her husband Ted attended the Vineyard Church in Bloomington, Darlene was involved in a prayer shawl group at Calvary United Methodist Church. She also loved to make gloves, scarfs, mittens, and bibs for family and neighborhood children.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Ted Branoff; son, Eric Branoff and wife, Janelle of Fuquay-Varina, NC; son, Alex Branoff and wife, Ashley of Raleigh, NC; brother, James Willey and wife, Jackie of Beaufort, NC; grandchildren: Daniel and Madi Branoff; and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Lyall and Monique Willey, and her brother, Scott Willey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vineyard Church of Bloomington or Gift Of Hope.
