Deanna Morton Obituary

Deanna L. Morton

October 5, 2025

Deanna L. Morton of Normal left this earth to rejoin her brother, parents and creator. She passed away October 5, 2025 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Morton; father, John Morton; and brother, John Morton II. Deanna leaves behind her brother, Douglas Morton; son, Philip Otto; daughter, Kimberly Otto; grandchildren, Kegan Otto, Cristian, Miguel, Phoenix Bernal and Jon Otto. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deanna retired as an RN and further dedicated herself to supporting her family, shaping her children, grandchildren and serving the Lord. Anyone who met her knows there was never a kinder soul. Her life reflected Proverbs 31:28, "Her children arise and call her blessed." She cared for us selflessly, prayed for us fervently, and guided us with God's wisdom. A small graveside service will be held at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington, Section N, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 11 am for family and dear friends.

Sorry to hear of this sweet lady's loss. My mom and I use to go to her family's restaurant, frequently. This is where I met my friend and we went to school together. Rest in peace.

While I didn´t have the depth or longevity that others had shared . I do remember Deanna from my Freshman year in a business class . As an overweight , insecure, underclassman , Deanna was kind and cordial . It came as no surprise to me all of these years later that she led a life of serving others with Christian compassion . My sincere sympathy and respects to her family and friends .
