Elizabeth Louise LoMonaco
December 18, 1931 - June 15, 2025
Elizabeth Louise LoMonaco passed from this life on June 15th, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Elizabeth was born on December 18, 1931 in Streator, Ill. to the late Frank and Louise Kapraun.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Vincent LoMonaco; her daughter, Mary Jo LoMonaco; her two brothers, Richard Kapraun and Wallace Kapraun; and her two sisters, Margaret Ritter and Agnes Gaspardo.
Following her childhood on a farm in Benson, Ill., she earned both a bachelor's degree in vocational education in Home Economics and a master's in science from the University of Illinois. A lifelong educator, she taught from coast to coast and from kindergarten to master's level courses. Reading, music and her faith were vitally important to her, and she encouraged all of those around her to partake. Playing the piano was a lifelong passion and she practiced nearly every day.
Elizabeth was outgoing and willing to initiate a conversation with anyone. One of her favorite topics was fashion and she always dressed with flair. She said she had met many people and done many interesting things in her life, no doubt a reflection of her personality. Her love for her family was profound and she cherished the time and memories she had with each of them.
