Floyd Warren Haerr, 82, of Danvers, Illinois, passed away on January 1, 2024. He was born on December 2, 1941, in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Floyd retired after 40 years as a union carpenter, having spent the last 18 years of his career at River City Construction.

After retirement, Floyd and his wife Jean enjoyed traveling to Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana and spending time in the warm weather. They made many friends during their adventures. Floyd had a passion for boating, camping, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, traveling, and playing billiards.

Floyd is survived by his beloved wife Jean Hartman-Haerr, their three children: Michael (Amy) Haerr, Robert (Terri) Haerr, and John (Mindy) Haerr. He was a loving grandfather to Emily (Josh) Britton, Katie (Brad) Raver, Michael Haerr, Tyler (Aubrey) Haerr, Brett Haerr, Brianna Haerr, Madison Haerr, and Olivia Haerr. Floyd also had two great-grandchildren: Issac Britton and Everett Raver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mildred Haerr, as well as his brothers Claude Haerr and Harvey Haerr.

Floyd attended Reavis High School in Burbank, Illinois. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eureka and Zion Lutheran Church in Danvers, where visitation will be held on January 20 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. A private service will follow for family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Danvers or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eureka.

My best memories of Floyd was camping, boating & water skiing!! I loved the "Haerr family" camping trips with multiple families. Going on Uncle Warren & Aunt Mildred´s pontoon boat at ungodly morning hours to fish! ; ). I even remember when all the Haerr men & my dad put a new roof on the Wisconsin cabin, killing bats while taking off the old shingles. All those men have gone to heaven before us. I´m sure they´re building something up there!! Love to Jean, Mike, Bob, John & their families. Love you all!!

Floyd was a very good friend and all around a great person. It´s always hard to say goodbye to a close friend. It´s especially hard for you Jeanie. Just get some kind of comfort in knowing he´s finally at rest.
