Geraldine Stiles Obituary

Geraldine Ann Stiles, known affectionately as Gerri, passed away on July 3, 2024 at the age of 77, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 28, 1947, to Gerald and Katherine Feeney. Her parents, two younger siblings, Kathleen Stumpp & Christopher Feeney, and a grandson, David D. Stiles V, preceded her in death.

Gerri spent her life enriching the lives of those around her with her vibrant spirit and creative talents. She was a prolific gardener, whose love for plants was only matched by her passion for travel. Gerri explored Italy and France extensively, always eager to discover new cuisines and cultural experiences. Her creativity was boundless; she was a multi-talented home chef, with numerous other artistic talents & hobbies, who also enjoyed music & dancing, and cared for a menagerie of pets throughout her lifetime.

Gerri leaves behind a loving family, including her husband of 58 years, Dave; her children, Deborah Stiles-Moors (Edward Bonos), Rebecca Stiles-Bergquist, and David D. Stiles IV (Heather Darnall-Stiles); grandchildren Benjamin Bergquist, Ainslee Moors, Sydney Stiles, and Nathan (Gina) Reeder; 2 great-grandsons; 3 siblings, Michael Feeney, Brian Feeney, & Therese Schaefer, and numerous extended family.

Her life was a testament to the joy and beauty she found in the world and the love she shared with her family & friends.

Gerri's life will be celebrated with a private family service. She will be always remembered for the warmth and happiness she brought into the lives of all who knew her.

What an incredibly, beautiful soul, Gerry was. She had such an impact on me, that I always loved to see her, in the store. Gerry treated me as family, from day one. Even my wife, recalls how Gerry gave Debbie, her first night of uninterrupted sleep, after our first born, came into this world. I´ve always loved Gerry, and my life is a little sadder, because she´s gone. She only brought joy, into this world, and I´m thankful for her, and for her family.

I remember when we skipped school one day. We hid behind some bushes as we watched our bus pull away from the gas station that was going to Holy Child. We thought we were so cool. Went to hide in my house but it was locked. Haha The Joke was on us! A very stressful, not so cool day. I don´t think our parents ever found out. RIP my friend

"Gerri" was special. Her smile and laughter are memories that have not faded in all these many years since our HS Graduation in 1965. Unfortunately, like so many other childhood (HS) friends, we lost touch many years ago, settin off and making our own "marks" on the World.

When I heard the news from a FB Post by her Sister, Therese, the memory in my mind was a picture of her beautiful face, her smile and her contageous laughter that I still remember from 59 years ago. I feel sad that we lost touch but in "catching up" I learned of her life, so full of purpose and experiences that she shared with the World.

May her family find strength and peace knowing Gerri truly made a difference. God Bless
