Jacqueline Geiger Stanish
April 24, 1936 - August 19, 2024
BLOOMINGTON - Jacqueline "Jackie" Geiger Stanish, 88, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024.
Born in Normal on April 24,1936, Jackie was the only child and beloved daughter of Dora Gibbons Geiger and John William Geiger. Growing up at the Geiger home on Whites Place and the family farm in Towanda, Jackie developed a lifelong love of animals.
Jackie graduated from University High School and attended Illinois Wesleyan, where she was a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Jackie enjoyed weekend trips to Chicago for the great restaurants and of course a bit of shopping. She also loved spending time in Longboat Key, FL, especially in the springtime.
Those who knew Jackie will remember her indelible sense of humor and sharp wit. Despite enduring several bouts of cancer, she maintained her courage, grace, and style.
Jackie's kindness and generosity will not be forgotten by those closest to her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience.
