Jane was born on October 2, 1947 in Bloomington, a daughter to Arnold Mac and Ruth Erline (Gillespie) Convis. Jane graduated from Bloomington High School in 1965 and married Steve, her high school sweetheart.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Chestney of Hudson; children, Julie (Troy) Cupples of Harrisburg, North Carolina, Christian (Marilyn) Chestney of Le Roy, Stefanie (Tim) Mattson of Hudson, and Joshua (Tamara) Chestney of El Paso; sister, Nancy (Roger) Perry of Carrollton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jared Convis; and sister, Dorothy Jones.

She was a dedicated wife and mother of four, later working at Country Companies before retiring. Jane had a passion for fashion and interior design, keeping Steve busy with her creative ideas for many years. The two first connected in acapella choir during high school, and they continued to share their love for music with their children. The family became known as The Chestney Family Band and played music in the church and local venues for over 30 years.

Jane will always be remembered for her infectious smile, beautiful voice, and pitch-perfect harmonies. A kind and loving soul, she will be deeply missed.
