Joanne Aupperle

GRIDLEY - Joanne Aupperle, 95, of Gridley, passed away at 8:02 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Fairview Haven in Fairbury, IL.
She was born February 7, 1929, in Fairbury, IL, to Walter and Perseda (Broquard) Moser. She married Willis E. Aupperle on December 18, 1949, in Fairbury, IL. He died June 3, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Barbara; two sisters: Thelma Worrell and Marlene Moser; and one brother, Lloyd Moser.
Surviving are two sons: Dale (Dyann) Aupperle of Maroa, IL, David (Nancy) Aupperle of Hockessin, DE; three daughters: Ruth (Elmer) Kaufman of Naperville, IL, Mary Lindsay of Hammonton, NJ, and Marge (Sven) Anderson of San Rafael, CA; one brother, Keith Moser of Fairbury, IL; two sisters: Coleen Walters and Sharon Kelson both of Fairbury, IL; twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Joanne enjoyed being a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a volunteer at heart and donated her time to the American Red Cross, Meadows Mennonite, nursing home, spare n share, and meals on wheels. She was also a member of the quilting ladies at the apostolic Christian church where she was a, lifelong member. In her later year she enjoyed traveling with Willis to see their children and their families
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso, and from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the church fellowship hall prior to services on Friday. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or GEMS (Gridley Emergency Medical Services).

We have so many wonderful cousins and Joanne was one of them. God created a very special lady and she certainly will be missed. Our love and sympathy to all her family.
