John Spafford Obituary
March 3, 1939 - December 21, 2024
John Richard "Dick" Spafford, 85, of Saunemin, passed away December 21, 2024, at Goldwater Care Center in Pontiac.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11 a.m., from the Sunny Slope Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Dan Knutson.
He was born March 3, 1939, in Peoria and was adopted by John and Marie (Immke) Spafford. He leaves behind his wife, Helen (Muir), who he married on February 14, 1960.
They have two daughters, Terry Schumacher and Peggy Legner; as well as four grandchildren, Katie and Tim Schumacher and Christopher and Tiffany Legner. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Robbins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He loved his family, and they will dearly miss him.
Memorials may be made to the Saunemin Fire Department or Saunemin Community Center.
The family wishes to thank Goldwater Care Pontiac for the wonderful care in his final month.
