Kent Craner Obituary

Lt. Col. Kent Jensen Craner, a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 77. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Susan, who preceded him in death on January 31, 2023.

Kent was born on August 9, 1946, in Logan, Utah, to Leon and Velma Craner. He grew up in Logan, where he attended Logan High School.

After graduating from Logan High School, Kent dedicated his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel during his distinguished military career, serving with honor and distinction.

Kent had a passion for automobiles and enjoyed working on cars in his spare time. He found solace in the simplicity of a well-tuned engine and appreciated the craftsmanship of classic vehicles.

Throughout his life, Kent was known for his steadfastness, integrity, and sense of duty. He approached every task with diligence and determination, earning the respect of his colleagues and peers.

Kent is survived by his sons Greg (Jenny) Craner and Gerry Craner, his brother Robert Craner, three grandchildren Collin, Claire and Jillian Craner and countless friends. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his commitment to his country, and his quiet strength.

A graveside memorial service will be held on June 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Le Roy. Following the service, friends and family are invited to gather at the Station Saloon in Downs for a reception.

Though he may be gone, Kent's memory will continue to inspire those who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing that he made a profound impact on the lives of those he touched.
