Lee Bidner Obituary

Lee Alan Bidner

June 23, 1957 - September 3, 2025

BELLFLOWER - Lee Alan Bidner, 87, passed away on September 3, 2025, at the Bidner family farm in Bellflower, Ill. He was born May 16, 1938, in Farmer City, Ill.

He graduated in 1956 from Bellflower Township High School, where he was named "Mr. Bellflower".

He married Madalyn Romine on June 23, 1957, at the Downs United Methodist Church. Madalyn passed away August 28, 2010.

They had four children together, Jeffrey Alan (deceased), Jennifer Lee (Joe) Buck, Barbara Anne (deceased), Anita Beth (Bob) Messier.

He married Nancy Carden; she passed away on April 5, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eleanor, along with his siblings, Erma and Oliver.

During his lifetime career of farming, he received multiple high yield awards. He was also an avid golfer, winning many championships. He enjoyed his weekly men's group at "the cabin".

He taught his children their work ethic through many years of walking beans and gathering eggs. Being a good neighbor was extremely important, as well as having no weeds in your soybean field.

Lee always believed the best in a person and was willing to help anyone in need.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Bellflower Township Cemetery. Kevin Lawrence will officiate. In lieu of visitation, memorials may be made to Bellflower Christian Church, of which he was a lifetime member.
