Miles Alistair "Dot" Homler, age 28, of Champaign IL, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at his residence.
A gathering celebrating his life will be held at Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington, IL, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. During this time the family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and at 1:30 p.m. there will be time set aside to allow for those that wish to share memories.
Miles was born March 7, 1995 in Bloomington, IL, the son of David and Robyn Turley Homler, McLean, IL. They survive. Surviving are his sister, Meghan (Paul) Wisner of Sussex, WI; niece, Lydia Wisner of Sussex, WI; and paternal grandmother, Linda Homler-Taylor of Ukiah, CA. Also surviving are five uncles, three aunts, and eight cousins.
Miles graduated from Bradley University in 2017, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. More recently, he pursued his passions as a freelance artist and professional musician. Miles had friends all over the world and was loved by everyone that knew him. He will forever be remembered for his gentle and caring soul, intelligence, humor, wit, and never-ending source of talent and creativity.
The family suggests any memorials be made to either the National Alliance on Mental Illness, supporting the 988 Suicide Hotline or the NAMM Foundation supporting music education and research.
