Patricia Ann Birlingmair, 95, formerly of Lexington, IL, passed away at 3:22 p.m. peacefully on Tuesday, October 28th at Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:45am on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Illinois, with funeral service at 11am. With Rev. Ray Owens officiating. Memorials may be made to Lexington First United Methodist Church or Lexington Food Pantry. Calvert-Johnson & Musselman Memorial Home, Lexington is assisting the family with services.

Pat was born February 22, 1930, in Tallula, IL (Menard County), the daughter of Jacob and Marie Lenz Bast. She married Paul Birlingmair on January 14, 1962. He died on June 8, 2006.

She is survived by her four sons: Alan (Fran) Birlingmair, Normal, Kevin (Shelleigh) Birlingmair, Bloomington, Ted Birlingmair, Bloomington, and Todd Birlingmair, Normal. Six grandchildren: Jacob (Caitlyn), Nicholas, Reid (Taylor), Kaylee, Kate, and Tess Birlingmair; and one great granddaughter Ella.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Kenneth Bast and Richard Bast.

Pat graduated from Petersburg High School. She attended Blackburn College for 2 years and graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in dietetics. She worked as a dietitian at Barnes Hospital, St John's Hospital and Brokaw Hospital. She later worked as a consulting dietitian for Evenglow Lodge, Heritage Enterprises, and other local nursing homes. She was a farm wife, Sunday School teacher, 4-H leader and food pantry volunteer. She was a member of the Lexington First United Methodist Church where she served on many committees as well as President of United Methodist Women for 8 years. Pat enjoyed cooking, baking, and sharing with family and friends. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She believed in living her Christian faith and helping others.
