May 20, 1934 - January 12, 2025
DOWNS - Ralph "Toots" Bustle age 90 of Downs, IL passed away at 7:03 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Beck Memorial Home with a Downs Community Fire Department Walk Through at 5 p.m. and a Masonic Service at 6 p.m. visitation will also be 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Friday at the memorial home. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL, Rev. Steve Evans will be officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Downs, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Downs Community Fire Department.
Ralph was born May 20, 1934, in Mason City, IL, the son of Harrison and Celestia Holcomb Bustle. He married Katherine A. Sheppard on April 27, 1962, in Bloomington, IL. She survives.
Also surviving three children, Ralph H. (Mark Ballentine) Normal, IL, Karen (Bob) Bair, Downs, IL,
Winona (Dennis Hendricks) Moran, Bloomington, IL; three grandchildren, Mary (Jacob Wegner) Moran, Normal, IL, Joe (Jason Morrison ) Bair, Springfield, IL, Jake (Emma Killian) Bair, Bloomington, IL.
Ralph is preceded in death by parents, one granddaughter, Shawn Moran and 12 brothers and sisters.
Ralph had worked at Caterpillar, Peoria IL for 48 years until he retired. Ralph had volunteered on the Downs Community Fire Department since he was 17 years old. Ralph had been very active in the American Passion Play. He was a member of Bloomington Masonic Lodge #454.
