Richard "Dick" L. Rhoda

September 10, 1941 - January 6, 2026

Richard "Dick" L. Rhoda, 84, Fairbury and formerly of Chenoa, died at 10:10 pm Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Dick's funeral will be 10:30 am Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chenoa with Pastor Kyle Ronchetto officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday and 9:30 to 10:15 am Wednesday at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dick was born September 10, 1941 in Bloomington, IL the son of Orville and Kathryn Ehrhardt Rhoda. He married Judy Atkins on August 19, 1962 in Fairbury, IL. She survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include three sons, Todd (Janni) Rhoda, Kurt (Kim) Rhoda, both of Chenoa, Darin (Larry Harper) Rhoda, Colleyville, TX, five grandchildren, Austin (Starr) Rhoda, Daniel Rhoda, Megan Rhoda, Nicholas Rhoda, Benjamin Rhoda, and one sister, Patty (Rodger) Paul, Bloomington.

He is preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Lester and Rosemary Dornfeld.

Dick was a lifelong and dedicated farmer. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chenoa. His hobbies included playing cards, especially Euchre where he often showed his competitive nature.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Fairview Haven Retirement Community.
