Paul Eugene Rhoda, 67, of Anderson, passed away on January 17, 2025, at his residence from Leukemia. He was born on January 17, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana, and resided most of his life in Anderson. He was the son of Victor and Elizabeth Rhoda.
Paul graduated from Anderson High School Class of 1976 and later graduated from IVY Tech for HVAC Tech and as a Electrician with an Associate Science Degree. Paul married the love of his life, Melinda Jo "Mindy" (Chandler) Rhoda and she preceded him in death.
He served his country in the U.S. Army honorably serving with Co. B 2 Division Battalion of the 21st Infantry of Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Mr. Rhoda held a swimming record for the Butterfly relay at the Anderson High School which stood for 25 years prior to it being broken. He also won four awards from the American Red Cross as a Red Cross Life Guard along with over 1400 other swimming recognition awards of some type. He enjoyed watching wrestling, listening to classic rock Q95 24hrs 7 days a week. He enjoyed collecting things.
He is a retired HVAC Technician for a rental property company. Paul was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Betty (Adam) Hammers of Anderson; grandchildren, Mandy Hendrickson, Hannah Cook, Hayden Cook, Trenton Cook, Lendziee Cook, and Hollis Hammers all of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Chynna and Chauncy, of Anderson; three siblings; his best friends, Mike Hart who is a life long friend, and Charliee, his pet cat.
Besides his wife, Mindy, he was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Amanda Hogue in 2012; and two sons-in-law, Bryce and Aaron Cook.
Private family graveside services were held at the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. Military Honors will be rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
Arrangements were entrusted to Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory.
