February 16, 1938 - June 3, 2025

Richard West, Bloomington, formerly LeRoy, died June 3, 2025. Visitation will be at LeRoy Christian Church on June 7th, from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a service by Pastor Jeff Mayfield officiating.

Dick was born February 16, 1938, in Arrowsmith, son of Robert and Carabel Hendren West. He married Marcia Weber on June 8, 1958. She survives and four daughters, Deborah (Dale) Gegg, Webster Groves, Mo., Rebecca (Ted) Sullivan, Pontiac, Jennifer (Brian) Bland, Las Vegas, Nev. and Amy (Todd) Block, Magnolia Texas; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary West. He preceded in death by sister, Donnabel West; and two brothers, Ted and Mike West.

Dick was a 1956 graduate of Leroy High School. He managed Prairie Central Grain, Chenoa, for 30 years, retiring in 1998, a member of LeRoy Christian Church, avid bicyclist and golfer, a member of LeRoy Country Club and McLean County senior Golf Association.

The family requests no flowers but would appreciate memorials to Lifesong for Orphans, VOH Guatemala, PO Box 9, Gridley, IL 61744, Goodness Gracious Ministries, 305 Ridge Rd., Boulder City, NV 89005 or LeRoy Christian Church.
