Robert Andrew "Andy" Lindstrom, age 79, of LeRoy, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his residence at 8:45 AM on Friday, September 19, 2025.

Born on January 17, 1946, in Bloomington, Illinois, Andy was the cherished son of Louis E. and Esther I. Craig Lindstrom. He graduated from LeRoy High School in 1964 and went on to build a life rooted in family, community, and service.

On June 18, 1967, he married Linda Mallory in Bloomington, who survives him alongside their two children, Louis Andrew "Drew" Lindstrom of Camden, New York, and Daisy Leonard of Gridley, Illinois. He also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren-Alexander, Mallory, Marqui, and Emma-and one great-granddaughter, Kenzlee. Andy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mildred "Millie" Rodriguez.

Professionally, Andy dedicated many years to working as a Building Service Worker at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, before moving on to a career with DuPont Ag in El Paso, Illinois, where he remained until retirement. Beyond his work, Andy's true passions were his family and community involvement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and following NASCAR.

Andy's commitment to helping others was evident through his volunteer work with the El Paso Rescue Squad and his role in organizing the Danvers Emergency Squad. As an instructor for First Aid, CPR, and the Hunter Safety Program, he shared his knowledge generously. He was also an active member of the Secor Sportsman Club and played an instrumental role in creating the Boy Scouts Camp Cache Lake in Ontario, Canada.

Family, friends, and community members are invited to celebrate Andy's life at a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington, Illinois. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM the same day at the memorial home. Burial will be held at East Lawn Cemetery in Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the LeRoy Ambulance Association or Carle Hospice in Normal, Illinois.
