ODELL - Shirley Jean Stubblefield, 93, of Odell, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 6:23 p.m. at her home.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, 11:30 a.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor Sylvester Weatherall officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pontiac. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Shirley was born on July 1, 1930, in Ottawa, IL, to Williard and Ruby Frances (Coppage) Harris. She married John Robert "Bob" Stubblefield on February 6, 1955, at Evangelical United Brethren in Ottawa, IL. He passed away on October 16, 2012.
She is survived by her children: Debbie (Bob) Vogt of Odell, IL, Lori (Tom) Dunlap of Pontiac, IL, Sheri (Chuck) Sevenich of Buford, GA, and Lisa Stubblefield of Auburn, IL; grandchildren: Alisha (Brandon) Uysaloglu, Nick (Kim) Vogt, Aaron Vogt, Lindsey Vogt, Vince Dunlap, Brett Dunlap, Hannah Dunlap, Anna (Jeff) Ihnen, and Austin Volker; great-grandchildren: Ava, Adalee, Alma, Asher, and Abbott Uysaloglu, Lucas, Emma, and Charlie Vogt, and Mabel and Darvin Ihnen; brother, John F. "Jack" (Sue) Harris of Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sister, Gwen Hoffman; and brother, Bill Harris.
Shirley graduated from Ottawa High School in 1948. She was a member of the United Church of Odell and was a homemaker. Shirley enjoyed watching Cubs baseball, game shows, soap operas, her pets, and more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest gift was the people in her life. Shirley never knew a stranger and was always happy to greet you with a smile.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
