Susan Armstrong Obituary

Susan Armstrong

December 6, 1949 - October 28, 2025

Bloomington, Illinois.

Daughter of Katheryn and Harley Rathbun who preceded her in death. She passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 after a six year battle with cancer. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Sue a devote Christian, shed her battered earthly body and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and to join her mother Katheryn, father Harley, and sister Linda in Heaven.

She is survived by her cat Jack; husband Lee; son Scott (Christine) Armstrong; daughter Kimberlee Armstrong-Shoemaker; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sue was the last remaining charter member of the Evangelical Free Church in Bloomington. She was very proud to have been on the building committee for construction of the final addition to the church. Following in her father's footsteps, who was on the building committee for the original church structure.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Ruby's Rescue and Retreat in Mclean, Illinois, or a charity of the donor's choice.

Calvert-Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of the arrangements.
