Wilma Brennemann Obituary

Wilma Brennemann

July 31, 1937 - March 6, 2025

Wilma Alice Detmers Brennemann passed away in her home on March 6, 2025 at the age of 87.

She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who was active in her community and church throughout her life. Caring, honest, and wise, she was revered by all who knew her and made it a part of her daily routine to reach out to family, neighbors, and members of her church, offering encouragement and help whenever it was needed. She created many wonderful Sunday dinners welcoming extended family and friends.

Born July 31, 1937 to Roy and Zelma Detmers, Wilma lived in Illinois. She was preceded in death by Alvin Ray Brennemann, her loving husband of 67 years, and her siblings, Sonita and Wayne. She is survived by her three children, Lyle Brennemann, Janelle St. Martin, and Kyle Brennemann, as well as her 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Warm and welcoming, she was like a grandparent to many outside her family as well.

Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
