John Jimenez Obituary

On Friday, June 13, 2008 our gentle giant John Jimenez entered the gates of heaven. He was strong and fearless yet he had a sweet innocence about him. He was a good father and lived for his son, Dominick. He was a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend to all of us and we will miss his face. Sleep peacefully John. We love you.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church in Paradise. All who knew and loved him are welcome to gather to celebrate his life with us.

From Alex Jimenez:
I am Alex's Father, and She is too young to understand, but she loved her big John. She loved spending time with his son Dominic playing, and swiming. With time She will understand, but I know she still sees him happy and just being John. I know Alex's Loved John very much and I know she will miss him deeply.

To my Brother John Jimenez From His brother Mark

I spent time with with my brother John talking about brother stuff, talking about my hats, and trucks he often wanted, and just talking about life in general. Take it from me - Love well, forgive, don't go to bed mad, and give everyone hugs till they can't take anymore. I watched my brother John when he was small, and I was right there when GOD took him, and he is near me now. It's been hard I loved my Brother John as I do my family, and I know our days will never be the same without him. I love you forever John - your brother Mark / Alex

I met John when he and his family would come to the pool at the park where I was a lifeguard. He told me after we got to know one another that if he had known how nice I was,as contrasted by my more stern demenor at the pool, that he would have messed around more! He was a sweet young man and he was a gentle and loving young man who loved his son and his family. I know that I will see him in heaven. Dear family, my prayers are with you. You were there for me in a terrible time of my life and John was a funny, sweet part of that. I love you.

I didn't know John very well but he always had a smile on his face. I spent a few times talking to him up at the pool while our children would swim together. We had great conversations. My heart goes out to the family and especially Johns precious and sweet little boy Dominick. He is always polite and respectful and he even went out of his way one day to give me a little bottle of perfume. Rest in Peace John and God Bless the entire family. Let me know if I can do anything to be there.

I was so shocked to hear of John passing away.

I met and knew John a long time ago through his two older brothers. I always enjoyed being around him. He was so much fun to hang out with even though he was younger than us!

I got a chance to see him again last year and met his son while we were getting gas in our cars and we got to catch up on our families. I often wondered if I'd run into him again.

My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

John and my son were friends for many years and often when he would come over he would give me a big bear hug. I am so sorry those hugs are gone for now. I am glad he knew that Jesus would have His arms open for him. I am so sorry he had to go so soon. God bless his family and his little boy especially.
