Stepanie Chalmers Obituary

STEPHANIE CHALMERS Stephanie Chalmers, 50, of Paradise, died Saturday, August 16. She was born to William Chalmers and Claire Fields, November 21, 1963, in California. Stephanie moved to Paradise in 1998 to live amongst the pine trees in a care home at the Arthur Schawlow Center. In 2009 she celebrated moving to her own home with her best friends Eva and Russ. Stephanie looked forward to her days at Sierra Center in Oroville until 2013 followed by Creative Learning Center in Paradise. Stephanie loved her life, especially the outdoors and good food. Stephanie is survived by her mother, Claire Fields of Bend OR, sisters Crystal Chalmers of Chico, Jennifer Helton of San Diego and Patricia Connolly of Bend OR. She is loved by and will be missed by all of her caregivers. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Butte County Search and Rescue who volunteered tirelessly to find her after disappearing from the front porch of her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, on the lawn of Creative Learning Center, 1080 Ewald Ct., Paradise. Please share your memories at Newton-Bracewell.com
