Jason Ripberger Obituary

Jason Ripberger
June 30, 1963 to Nov. 11, 2021

A Parker, Arizona man, Jason Ripberger, passed from this world on Thursday Nov. 11, 2021 while visiting the home of uncle, Bill.

Jason, 58, courageously battled ESRD, caused by untreated hypertension, undergoing dialysis for a dozen years with stoic good cheer and no complaint.

Born July 30th, 1963, to Andrew "Buster" and Rebecca Ripberger, Jason had a "golden" childhood on the river. An avid waterskier, even skiing local canals pulled by truck or 4 wheeler. He also enjoyed the stark beauty of the desert, where he and friends the Fishers, Hinkle's and others often went bedrolls and BB guns in hand. To my knowledge he never cast a line without hauling in a fish.

He was O.G. in the best possible sense, a quiet man who let his actions speak for him.

In his youth, Jason maintained the Ripberger apartments near the school, where he later spent a decade working for the school district. He also operated heavy equipment with some skill, working recently on the Laughlin airport, he was also proud of his demolition work on Interstate 40, leveling mountains for the roadway.

Though childless, Jason married local Nancy Graham, and helped raise her two boys before divorcing amicably. Long-time girlfriend Lisa Harter survives.

Jason was preceded by his parents, sister Cindy, and brother Tim Bonds, and survived by sisters Stephanie Foti, Deanna Yakowich, and brother Eddie Bonds. Uncles Bill and John Ripberger and his many cousins nieces and nephews will remember him fondly.

While not religious Jason was deeply spiritual, praying for friends and family daily. His plans now include flying around the universe, unhindered by failing body, meeting his Maker and discovering answers to all the nagging questions his curious nature presented all these years.

Also fiercely patriotic, Jason was an outspoken proponent of God- given rights of the individual as outlined in the Bill of Rights and Constitution.

No service will be held per Jason's request. A small celebration of life will be held, at later date, and glasses raised to his beloved memory. His ashes will be scattered near Parker.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation for final expenses sent care of Bill Ripberger at 1213 W 2nd St in Parker.

I am so sorry to hear of Jason's passing. I went to Wallace Elementary School beginning 1976, later Parker High until mid Sophomore year. I have many fond memories of living in Parker and maintain many friendships with my Parker friends. My family relocated from Phoenix, Dad worked for the Indian Hospital. Jason was the first boy I ever kissed. We were friends. I remember the apartments across the street from the school. We would hang out by the river sometimes, like most everyone did. Jason would hold my hand. I remember his glasses and expressive eyes. I am happy to know he had a full life. I will never forget his happy smile. Such fond memories.....
