Linda Cernosek Obituary

Linda Ann "Lady" Cernosek (née Kerbo), 74, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Porter, Texas.

Born on October 3, 1950, in Borger, Texas, Linda graduated from Deer Park High School in 1969. She built a successful career as the executive assistant to the senior vice president for Far East Asia operations at Baker Hughes, where her dedication and professionalism made her an invaluable part of the company. After her career, Linda dedicated her life to raising her younger children as well as volunteering for many local non-profits where she was able to make a difference.

Linda's sense of humor was unparalleled and her laugh was always a 'crowd pleaser'. She had a deep appreciation for the arts, particularly music and theater. She found joy in ballet, musical theater, live performances, and concerts of any kind. She also loved baking and could often be found enjoying a game of solitaire on her phone (with the TV on in the background for good measure).

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Mike and Paula Kerbo; her children: Dr. Penelope Miller Smith and her husband Donald Smith; Joshua Jordan and his husband Ken Ballard; Lance Cernosek and his wife Haley Cernosek; and Leah Cernosek and her husband Matt Sack. Nieces and nephews; April, Slate, Slater IV, Michael, Sarah, Travis, and Kaitlyn. Linda was also a cherished grandmother to Avery, Kennedy, McKinley, Jacob, Joanna, and Luke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon Wayne Kerbo and Betty Zoe Eastham, as well as her cousin Nancy Weise.

Linda's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her laughter continue to echo in the lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will occur on 02/22/25 @ 1:00pm and be held at the Red Door Theatre.
