Aubrey Devine Obituary

March 26, 1926 - July 11, 2022 Aubrey Devine Jr passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on July 11th at the Sunrise Senior Facility in Alta Loma, California. He had been suffering from dementia for several years. Aubrey was born in Pasadena on March 30, 1926, to Aubrey Devine and Catherine Hamilton Devine. Both of his sisters, Betty Jeanne and Shirley Ann, predeceased him. He attended McKinley Elementary School and Pasadena High School. He was an officer in the Army Airforce during World War II. After the war he enrolled at Stanford University where he played football and was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He graduated in 1950 with a degree in economics He was a consultant to the hospitality industry for many years. He enjoyed traveling and was able to travel extensively for work - to South America, Europe, and Asia. He retired in the 1980s and spent most of his time playing golf, either at Annandale Country Club where he was a member since 1968, at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, or at La Quinta Country club in the desert. He was proud of his golf game, playing into his 80s. His children include Susan Devine of Rancho Cucamonga, Julie Devine Bartlett of Lourmarin, France, and Blake Hamilton Devine, of Tigard, Oregon. Aubrey had three grandsons and five granddaughters, two great grandsons, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Cabot & Sons Chestnut Street Pasadena
