Eugene "Gene" Ray Ramaker Gene Ramaker, 93, of Pasadena, CA, passed away on October 17, 2021, at Methodist Hospital, Arcadia, CA. Gene was born August 3, 1928, in Pasadena and grew up in Temple City. He attended UCLA and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Gene enjoyed his career as a Civil Engineer with the City of Pasadena, retiring after 35 years. He was always busy supporting his children's and grandchildren's activities and enjoyed league bowling, golf with friends, yard work and wood working in his garage. He was a highly respected member of his community. Gene is survived by his family that loved him - his wife, Judith, and four children: Debra Sheets, daughter-in-law, Pamela Ramaker (Douglas), Diane Speer (Steven), David Ramaker (Sylvia), thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren Also surviving him are four children by marriage: Christine Routt (Jackson), Shirley Stevenson, Carol Main, Jason Goyette (Honei), eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Maxine Joyce, sons, Douglas Edwin and Dale Eugene and sister, Elaine Collins. Gene enjoyed spending time at Trinity Presbyterian Church keeping the building and grounds in tip-top condition, including adding a parking pad for easy access to the building for those in need. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Gene to the church. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Mountain View Mortuary in Altadena. A celebration of Gene's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3740 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91107.
