Eric, and family,
I am a friend of your friend John Benjamin Tatum (as you well know), and John just read me your father's obit (24 June 2007). I am so sorry, I did not know him, but he sounds like the father I wish I had. May God comfort and guide you is my most earnest prayer.

You have my deepest sympathies on the passing of Gary. I have only met him a few times. But his son Eric was and is one of my best friends. I know his passing has caused a very large empty spot in your heart, but if the Lord was going to call him home, at least it was quick and painless. The entire family has my thoughts and prayers. I was honored to know Gary, and I thank him for his part in bringing in my dear friend Eric into this world.
