Grace Barbara Guglielmo

GUGLIELMO- Grace Barbara Guglielmo, known to her friends as Bobbie, passed away at her home in Pasadena on March 29, 2011. She was born in New York City, NY in 1922. At the age of fourteen, she met Matthew Guglielmo, who was to become her future husband. They married in 1941 and in the mid 1950's, they moved to San Marino, CA. Matt and Bobbie remained a loving and devoted couple until her death. Bobbie was a very giving person with her family, friends and community. She was an active volunteer beginning as a Gray Lady during WWII. She also gave her time to the Tumor Clinic at the Huntington Memorial Hospital, the Sycamore Home for Boys, the Pasadena Guild of Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and various school activities with her children. A wonderful homemaker and hostess, Bobbie had a flair for decorating and entertaining. Her home was always welcoming to family and friends- her true passions. Bobbie's friends loved her sense of style, her wry humor and zest for life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by her many friends and family who loved and admired her greatly. She is survived by her loving husband Matthew Guglielmo, daughters Susan Lindgren, Pam Avoyer (Steve) and Ann Guglielmo. Bobbie had four grandchildren, Matthew Avoyer, Brooke Strong (Geordy), Whitney Avoyer and Stephen Lindgren and one great grandchild, Charlotte Strong. At Bobbie's request, there will be a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to either the Pasadena Guild for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles or Fairview Families and Friends, Inc. for the Retarded in Costa Mesa.
