Jane Kostlan Obituary

KOSTLAN-Jane Clifford Kostlan, Jane, a 34-year resident of San Marino, passed away May 31, 2006 with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Frank; their three children, Kevin, Kerry and Kelly; daughter-in-law, Grace Kostlan; son-in-laws, John Cervenka and Curtis Bowman and her nine grandchildren, Mary Kate, Caroline and Kevin Kostlan, John William, Franklyn, Georgia and Lilah Cervenka, Katie and Charlie Bowman. Born in Oklahoma, Jane was raised in Texas until she moved to California and attended Hollywood High School where she ex celled and became the school's first female student body president. She went on to attend USC and was elected vice-president of her freshman class in 1955. Jane and Frank were married in 1956. After college, she put her skills to good use serving in leadership positions with the Kappa Alpha Theta Corporation Board, USC Town and Gown Junior Auxiliary, Visiting Nurses Association, Rosemary Cottage, Huntington Memorial Clinic Auxiliary and the Pasadena Historical Society.Jane was a strong and vibrant lady and is greatly missed. The family thanks all of her friends who meant so much to her and have been such a support to her family. A memorial and celebration of her life was held on June 10th at their home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jane to the Pasadena Museum of History, 470 West Walnut Street, Pasadena, CA 91103 or to Rosemary Children's Services, 36 South Kinneloa Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91107.
