Jan, I have been fortunate enough to meet you in my lifetime and work with you in the domestic violence project. The first thing that I have noticed and loved about you was that you always dressed so lovely and you had those cutest pins or necklaces everybody kept admiring. What a classy lady. Your eyes, so expressive and kind, made me realize right away what a strong and yet gentle person you are.

As we live our lives, we take people around us for granted because we always think that we will see them tomorrow,or the day after or sometime in the future.

Last time I saw you, two weeks ago, I remember our chat about our working conditions and how we need to better them. You were so passionate about helping out and creating something new and better for our program, that I sat there and thought to myself: " This is somebody who cares about others and the truth, and the fairness". I admired your energy, Jen, I sencerely did. At that time, rang the hotline call and you picked it up ready to help another caller in need. That was the last conversation I had with you. I was leaving work within that hour and, at that time, you were training a new vonteer. We wished each other Happy Holidays and you walked me to the exit door. Jan, I know that somehow, somewhere you can read my writing. I thank you for being there for people and for saving somebody's life by unswering those hotline calls and talking to women and children in crises. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Thank You for Being. This sad world so needed you and it still does!

May your kind soul be in joy and comfort now.

See you later. Lots of Love. Liana
