Manuel Hernandez Obituary
The sun rose on Manuel Hernandez born September 8, 2000 at Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, CA. The Sunset on December 2, 2011, as he passed away at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He is survived by his family, his loving father Manuel Hernandez Jr., loving mother Shelley Redman Hernandez, his three sisters Melissa, Rebecca and Sarah all from La Verne, his grandparents John and Lucille Redman of Sedona, Arizona and Manuel and Margaret Hernandez of La Verne. He is also survived by his uncle Gabriel Hernandez of Upland, Aunt Carla Sells of Genoa, Nevada and Mark Redman of Kahului, Hawaii and numerous cousins. He was a student at Roynon Elementary and loved by all. He was an extraodinary young boy with a strong brave heart and a beautiful soul. His strong presence and smile would light up a room. He put others before himself. He will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Children's Hospital Los Angeles in our loving sons name Manny Hernandez III:

This came up in my email, so I´m taking it as a sign. I worked with Manny when he was in first grade. He had the biggest rosy cheeks and smile. He was always upbeat. I was saddened to hear about his passing. I live nearby so when I go down his street where he lived I always think of him. He was a great kid.

Jim and I never met Manny, but we heard so many great things about him through our son Paul and Olivia, who loved him dearly. I wish we could have met him, but know he is playing hard and healthy in heaven. Please know we are thinking and praying for you during this advent season. Little Manny was a shining star here on earth with those sparkling eyes and a beaming smile...now, he is thee brightest star in Heaven! There are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss. My daughter is in 4th grade and told me what a nice child Manny always was.
May you find peace and solace knowing that so many people care for your family and loved Manny.

I first met Manny when I tutored him after school while he was in first grade. He made the afternoon fun . He would light up the room with his smile. Over the years when we met in the halls of Roynon he would always say hi to me. He was such a polite, caring young man. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember his smile.

Our family was very sad to hear of your loss. My son Jacob-8 remembered Manny at school, he thought he was a very nice boy, and my son Joey who is friends with Rebecca, remembers Manny as such a kind and happy boy. My daughters went to school with Manny. My older daughter who is also in 5th grade, knew Manny and shared so many nice memories of him. I never got to meet him but looking through the eyes of my daughters he was a wonderful friend to many. I pray the the Lord will hold the family in his hands and continue to guide and strengthen.
