Norma Ficarra Obituary

FICARRA-Norma Ficarra, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away in her Pasadena home on November 20, 2010. Born in Argentina on June 2, 1923, Norma immigrated to the United States in January 1958 with her husband, Vincent, and her young children. An accomplished cook, Norma enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. Norma also loved nature and being active. When not tending her garden or taking walks at the Arboretum or in her neighborhood in the foothills of her beloved San Gabriel Mountains, she traveled the globe with her husband and family members and made many friends around the world. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, her four children (and their spouses): Ed (Molly), Ann (Ron Gossett), Hugo (fiancee Nancy), and Cindy (Scott Moore), her grandchildren: Alysha, Daniel, Gina, Ryan, Sean, Dane, Jason, Kyle, Anthony, Winona and Dylan, and great-grandchildren: Christopher, Aidan, Nils, Alyssa and Olivia. In lieu of flowers, Norma's family requests that donations be made in her name and cherished memory to: The Arboretum "LAAF", Attn: Development, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, CA 91007, where her family will dedicate a park bench in her memory. You're right Mom, What a Wonderful World! Cabot & Sons Pasadena.
