Richard LeRoy

LeROY-Richard (Dick) Day, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 86 years of age. Dick grew up in Pasadena and graduated from Pasadena High School. He owned the Chevron Gas Station at the corner of Villa and Lake for 55 years. Being a mechanic, cars were his love and he was the proud owner of a 1932 Ford Coupe. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. Mr. LeRoy was a World War II Veteran trained as a tail gunner, he completed 35 Missions over the English Channel to Germany. He also flew in a B-17 bomber during D Day. Pre-deceased by his wife, sister, and daughter. Dick leaves behind his daughters; Millie, Linda, and Nancy 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Viewing Saturday 9:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Services at 9:30 at Cabot & Sons Chapel 300 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena.
