The antique car hobby has lost a genuine and an enthusiastic car guy who was very knowledgeable in a variety of automotive subjects . Sometimes quiet and in the background , but once he was engaged in any automotive conversation he quickly became the focal point and was a major contributor. Understated and never braggadocious, but once you knew him you realized he was a wealth of automotive information. His discerning taste in picking out just the right car with just the right amount of patina and history for his own collection is indicative of his being a true automotive connoisseur. I always was anxious to hear his opinion when it came to automotive and political subjects, it made for interesting conversation , especially at our periodic luncheons where other old car guys would attend. Bob was truly young at heart to the end.
It just won't be the same with him gone.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace. May the God of comfort continue to be with the family during this difficult time. Hosea 13:14.

This is such a great clip of Bob running his Ford truck and talking about the love of cars across generations. Taken 2015.
