Victor deReign Obituary

deREIGN-Victor Charles deReign went to be with our Lord on October 4, 2002. He was born in Portland Oregon on February 23, 1924 to Oscar Perry deReign and Mary Thomas deReign. Vic served in the US Navy as a gunners mate from 1942-1947. He resided in Temple City for 51 years while working for Aerojet General from 1948-1965 and The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California from 1966-1985. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the Scottish Rite. After he retired, he was recognized for volunteering for 7 years and over 9000 hours meeting and transporting crippled children from LAX and Burbank airports to the Shrine Hospital in Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife for 54 years, Edith Georgette Shafer deReign of Temple City; son, Dale and Linda deReign; grandchildren, Melissa and Meghan deReign of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Ruth Goring Nelson Bancroft and Harlan Bancroft of Chino Va lley, Arizona. He was preceded by the death of his daughter Donna Lee deReign Tompkins of Sparta, Tennessee in 1981. A memorial service will be on October 29th, 2:00 P.M. at the Arcadia Masonic Temple, 50 W. Duarte Rd., Arcadia, CA 91007
