Marc O. Antaya

LINCOLN - Marc O. Antaya, 81, of Columbia Avenue, died Friday, May 13, 2016, at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Rickons) Antaya.
Born in the Manville village of Lincoln, a son of the late Arthur E. and Aurnette (Gurtin) Antaya, he had been a lifelong resident of Lincoln.
Mr. Antaya worked in the Maintenance Department for General Motors for thirty-one years, retiring in 1989.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Alphonse Yelle Post #9, American Legion, Manville, and the St. Joseph Veterans Association, Woonsocket; and was a member of the former Carr-Lancaster Post #10213, V.F.W., Lincoln, and the former D.A.V. Chapter #12, Manville.
He is survived by one son, Marc W. Antaya of Spokane, WA; one step-daughter, Sarah Landers of North Smithfield; one step-son, Carl Gould of Lincoln; two sisters, Mary Gagnon of South Carolina; Nancy Laperle of Blackstone, Ma; four brothers, Robert Antaya of Schenectady, N.Y.; Arthur Antaya of Woonsocket, Gill Antaya of South Dakota, and Ronald Antaya of North Carolina; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late James Antaya.
His funeral service will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Military honors will follow. Relatives and friends are invited.
