Connie, I was told that Brenda Marks had passed away and when I read about her in the paper, I was so saddened to hear about Barry. We were good friends in our younger days and I have great memories of him, Larry and "Chigger". I also remember you from our days at Florence State. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My memory of Barry is playing ball on the empty lot at the corner of Cedar Street and State Avenue. With his twin brother, Larry, there were others that joined in on the fun -- Sonny Boy, Joe, and Terry.
Austinville was a wonderful place to have childhood friends.

We are saddened to learn of Barry's passing. He was a dear friend, with whom I grew up sharing many boyhood adventures. He and Larry were groomsmen in our wedding. We had a great visit over coffee one morning last year, while in the process of selling Janet's Mom's home after her passing. Barry has now been welcomed into the joy of the Lord. We will miss him.
Prayers of strength and comfort to the Martin family.

A true example of a courageous man. He never complained and took each day as it came. He worked when most people would have given up. A husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend were the roles he was played. His smile, funny humor, and kindness will be missed greatly by those that loved him. May God give Connie, his children and grandchildren comfort at this sad time. We will truly miss "Bear". Love to the family. Jim and Sandy League
