Natalie Martinez Garcia

1930 - 2021

Nov. 27, 1930 - Dec. 31, 2021 Natalie Martinez Garcia, of Grand Terrace, CA, passed away at home on December 31, 2021, at the age of 91. Natalie was born in Los Angeles, CA to Blas and Carmen (Morales) Martinez. Along with seven brothers and one sister, the family relocated to Fresno (Sanger) CA, where Natalie growing up worked alongside her family in the agricultural fields and packinghouses. She also attended the local Sanger schools. Natalie lived in Fresno until her marriage to Frank Garcia in 1948 and then relocated to Riverside, CA. Together she and Frank raised their family in the Grand Terrace area. Natalie worked for a brief period as a small machine operator and assembler before settling down to raise her remaining children at home and care for her special needs sibling. Natalie enjoyed her frequent bingo games with close friends, spending time volunteering at her community senior center, participating in her church prayer groups and spending as much time possible with her fast-growing family. She loved crocheting while watching her evening TV novellas and gifted many of her handmade items to her family that will be treasured forever. She was predeceased by her parents, her seven siblings, and her husband Frank of 50 years. She is survived by her children Vivian Aldrete (Richard) Rudy Garcia (Corrine), Frank Garcia Jr (Nancy) Steve Garcia (Marguerite) Delia Negrete (Steve) Ronnie Garcia (Debra) as well as 62 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and her many friends. Natalie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and one of the kindest spiritually devoted people one could ever meet. A memorial service will be held on February 1, 2022, 11:00 am at Christ the Redeemer Church, Grand Terrace CA.
