William Batiest "Bill" Oggero, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the age of 71. Bill was born October 4, 1943 in Houston to Batiest "Bat" and Bernice Oggero. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and beloved brother Nicolas Joseph Oggero.
Bill is survived by the love of his life of 51 years, Valerie Oggero; his daughter, Kimberly Mingarelli and her husband Ross; his son, Bat Oggero and his wife Dawn; and three grandchildren, Lauren Oggero, Nicole Mingarelli, and Vincent Oggero; who lovingly referred to their grandfather as "Poppie."
Bill was a homebuilder and a developer early in his career. He enjoyed the neighborhood in which he lived and helped develop. Most days, Bill could be found on the golf course or in the clubhouse, playing cards and enjoying the comradery of his friends. Bill was also a devoted family man. He created many fun and special memories for his children and grandchildren; of which he was most proud.
His family and friends will miss him dearly, but will hold on to their memories, and have peace knowing that he lived such a full life. He was loved by so many and was truly one of a kind.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated, Monday, February 23, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland. Rite of Committal followed at Forest Park Lawndale.

I knew him only for a short time . And loved every minute we had a conversation. The world lost a great man . But heaven got a beautiful angel.

I attended grammar school, and was in the same grade at Blessed Sacrament with Bill. He was such a cut up as a kid and always made us laugh. Sorry to learn of your loss. Prayers for the family.
