It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanore Ann Baun,
Who departed peacefully on May 2, 2025 at the age of 91.Born in Elyria, Ohio May
27,1933, Eleanore lived a life marked by unwavering dedication to her family and
A profound love for the simple beauties of life.

Eleanore was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl Frederick Baun in
2001.Their enduring partnership served as the cornerstone of their family, a bond
Forged in Ohio and strengthened through their adventurous journey to Alaska,
Where they homesteaded in North Kenai in 1959. For the past 35 years, Eleanore 
Found contentment and community in McMinnville, Oregon, a place where she
Cultivated a life full of  her favorite pastimes.

Eleanore possessed an extraordinary talent for gardening. Transforming any patch
Of earth into a vibrant testament to her green thumb. Her joy in cultivation was
Matched by her love of reading, finding solace and adventure within the pages of countless books. She also enjoyed the spirited thrill of gambling at local casinos
And slot tournaments in Reno.

Eleanore's legacy is carried forward by her children : Sharon Bystedt of Alaska,
Stephanie Grace of Oregon, Sondra (William) Starnes of Alaska, Kyle (Barbara)
Baun of Colorado, Kristopher (Julie) Baun of Washington, Sarah (Oliver) Amend
Of Alaska, Ken (Miranda) Baun of W. Virginia and Stacy (William) Yao of California.

She is also survived by her 15 cherished grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, 
Who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Eleanore will be remembered for her unwavering love, Quiet strength, and the beautiful life she cultivated for herself
And her family.
