Jesse Johnson Obituary
Our brother, father, grandpa, love, and friend Jesse T Johnson, 46, passed away early on Saturday January 9, 2021 in his currant city of Taylorsville, UT. He is survived by his daughters, Cinthia of California, and Aisha (Eric) of Washington. Grandchild, Rose of California; Brothers and Sisters: Matt (Sherry) Murray, UT, Stacie (Dusty) Soldotna, AK, Michael Kenai, AK, Beverly, and Debbie; Nephews and nieces, Bobby, Cory, Austin, Shawn, Audrey, Lydia, and Alia and many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his love Sara. Jesse is preceded by his father Bud L Johnson, mother Debra L Anderson, grandma Darlene Allman, and grandfather Grant Allman.
Jesse was born in Salt Lake City Utah, January 14, 1974. He spent most of his life in Utah, but he lived in Alaska on and off over the years. Alaska was his second home. His many adventures included becoming a father, fishing, camping, celebrations out at Captain Cook with family, long walks, hikes, and learning how to live like a true Alaskan. Kenai, Sterling, Anchorage, Wasilla, and even Dillingham were some of the cities in Alaska that he lived in. There was no doubt that Alaska had left an imprint on his life. He was making plans to bring his fellow workers to Alaska to enjoy the wonders of this state that he held so dear in his heart.
In his job and life, Jesse was someone that took safety and work very serious. Jesse was a hard worker, but also knew how to have fun. Always the jokester with an infectious smile. He enjoyed writing poems, sending cards, music, games, being philosophical in his speech and mannerisms, swimming, boating, both Alaska and Utah State Fairs, Christmas parties, Chinese food, and the trips to Wendover to try and win Big! He enjoyed his Tai Chi time with his grandma, and could appreciate art and artists of all kinds. He was always ready for gatherings and picnics, with family and loved ones.
During his time in Utah he spent 25 years working in many of the departments at the Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville. His intellectual curiosity helped contribute in making him a vital part of their community. His coworkers were like family to him. His heart was for his friends and family. He would advocate for those around him. Helping them to see their potential and increasing his own. Jesse had a way about him that left a mark on everyone he met. He was the puzzle piece that helped the family stay connected. Jesse loved and was loved in return. He is deeply missed by all that were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
We celebrated Jesse's life on his birthday, January 14, 2021 with friends and family. Thank you to his employers from SLCC who helped sponsor the event. If anyone wanted to continue to celebrate his life with us, please pay it forward with kindness, smiles, encouragement, and love, so that his generosity may continue to spread to others through you!
