Lois McGahan Obituary

Lois Ann McGahan,

Lois Ann McGahan, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Sun City Arizona. She was born on March 12, 1938, in Manistique Michigan
Lois was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Hazel Osterhout and her three brothers Kenneth, Lloyd & Theron. Her beloved husband Norman and their son Kenny, grandsons Andy and baby Noah.
In 1958 Lois and Norman with their young sons Randy and Kenny and several other family members embarked on a courageous journey from Upper Michigan to the Kenai Peninsula, where they homesteaded in Nikiski for many years. It was there that they raised their five children.
Later in life, Lois and Norman settled in Sun City Arizona where they enjoyed their retirement years together. Lois was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in the intricate art of fine beading and basket weaving as well as the friendly competition of golfing or cribbage, the thrill of finding treasures while thrift shopping and the excitement of a visit to the local casino.
Her memory will be cherished by her surviving children: Randy and Kirk (Shawn) of Washington, Priscilla Niederhauser (Bill) of Kenai and Crystal Reeve (Steve) of Texas. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren as well as eight great-great grandchildren.
She also has many nieces and nephews from Alaska to Michigan all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Lois's spirit, her adventurous heart and love for her family will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6th at McGahan Cemetary
